For a little stray cat, named Misty

Late yesterday afternoon while I was feeding the cats in my care, a very wet, bedraggled and frail little cat suddenly appeared. We took you to the vet, who didn't give us much hope but we said that we would care for you and give you a warm bed for the night. Apparently my little ginger and white friend, you were female and very, very old. Sadly, you passed peacefully just a short while ago and we only had the pleasure of your company for just a very few hours :gloomy:

Oh CD.....her passing is heartbreaking, but my consolation is knowing that she was in your company, even if it was just for a short time. She died knowing love and care....and you are so wonderful.
I dont mean to step on toes....but could we name her? Even just so the Universe knows that she "belonged" to a family.....maybe she could be "our" kitty...maybe we could name her after the OBOD in some way?
Regardless, I love you for giving her love. Blessing to her on her journey.

Crystal Dragon and I have conferred, and this blessed little Soul is now known as Misty.
May the Universe recognise that she belongs to us.

I have had this happen for me with a stray I took in who passed away in my care.
