Steve,
You're brilliant! What else should you name a Bassett Hound but Bubba?
I love it! Give him a big hug for me.

BB,
SZ

That's what I thought too! it just felt right to call him that. Will do on that hug

Two Druid dogs who love the woods and trees.

Three cats, one being a kitten who teaches us to lighten up and have fun!

Mother Nature sends us many birds every day to our feeders for our own viewing pleasure.

I have two lovely beautiful white cats. They are 13 now and I just got them last year when their previous owner did not want them anymore. They are so cute and sweet ... I love them to bits! We recently moved to Belgium and now they are discovering their new backyard, hehehe. It is so funny to watch them on their little adventure! they seem to feel like two white tigers ... :D

My previous cat was very special to me; I used to say she was my little familiar. She was a stray that just walked into my life when I most needed some support. Unfortunately she was killed by a car 2 years ago now. I still love her and miss her ... She brought so much love and joy and comfort. I am still grateful for that.

Besides my human family (parents and sister) there's a dog and a cat (both girls...naming them "bitch" and "she-cat" is a bit akward to me) living with us. (I'll post a couple of pictures on the pets' pics thread).

In the past we had two more dogs and another cat...but unfortunately, their time on Earth expired. :-( :-(

The dog, a German shepherd, was given to us by our neighbour, who's a vet. Someone he knew had some puppies and they didn't want them, so we welcomed Hada (faeiry) six years ago. She's quite crazy, but adorable :D And about the cat...She has belonged to someone else, as she's got an old collar, but it seems she wasn't treated right: the vet found her wandering around his house and he used to feed her until he moved...One day she walked after us and started visiting us. It took her a lot of time to get used to us (she's always scared, that's why the vet told us she might have been mistreated), but in the end she's managed to get into the house whenever she wants to (she knows how to win our hearts! ) and we keep a cosy place, fresh food and water for her. She doesn't have a name (my mum calls her "Lolita" but the cat doesn't care at all), so I call her anything nice I can think of: Bola de pelo (hair ball) or Gata gorda (fat cat) She's OK with that, as long as we caress her, feed her and play with her :D

We have a Guinea Pig called Nancy and a white cloud mountain minnow fish called Sidney (AKA Sidney the serial killer) Sidney joined the tank over a year ago and killed off 12 other fish in a week. Thinking he was the lucky survivor a few months later we decided to add some more ... they too met a watery end. So now this tiny fish no bigger than my thumb nail smugly swims around a huge tank all to himself!

I have 1 dog - Mick, a Catahoula Bulldog. He is a rescue and recently earned his Canine Good Citizen. In the picture, he is masquerading as a reindeer for Yule.
... and 3 cats - Bonkers (shown below), a 15 year old blue/white girl that I have had since she was 2 days of age. Rescued an entire litter from being put to death - the person was going to use a hammer to bash their little heads in. He had already killed the Momma. Bilbo, a 13 year old blue fluffy cat. He is my "Fuzz Therapist." And Pooter (shown below), a 9 year old black and white "cow" kitty. He is a bit deformed, but we love him.

for now,

We live in an apartment, so we wanted something quiet. So we have some fish.
Three tanks: several Bettas, Tetras, Gourami, Platy, etc. We have also had Algae Eaters, Cory Cats, and more, but they died this past summer during a heat spell.

Our cat has a house and her servants, who are allowed to keep anything from flying fish to pink elephants (occassionally), but no other cats.

So we have two to three dogs, depending on whether or not my friend Marianne is currently in Thailand or in Germany (her dog used to be my dog, you get the idea?)

Four guinea-pigs, all male and all good friends (THAT took a lot of guinea pig whispering)

Two rats (color rats, in a cage)

And the occasional dinner guest of our cat, but they never come back...

2 gerbils: Pixie (she's black with a white chin) and Sprite (she's creamy/off white and semi albino).
1 lamb (Tiny) which I helped hand rear but it doesn't live with me.
1 cat (Moo) which I fed when it was starving/ a stray but it doesn't live with me.
And in the past I have had mice (Nibbles and Munchkin) and another gerbil (Smokey).

I've always wanted a dog and ferrets.

My cat recently passed away. He was a British Cream called Lysander. His mother was Blue Bell, a British blue-cream, pedigree and his father was silver tabby stray. That made him half pedigree, half moggie. He was a desendant of Lionheart, the first British cream to win a Cat Championship. He was the last of his line to remain with my family. He was from a litter of two, his brother, Hector was killed by a car. He was a silver tabby and on his death night a comet light the sky which is said only appeared when a great spirit passes on. Hector could only ccatch frogs. Hector passed on at three or four, Blue Bell died of cancer at fourteen or fifteen, Lysander died from a kidny faliure (we had to put him down) at the age of seventeen or eighteen, having just celebrated his birthday with me, enjoying some Hagis and venision sausage.
