Hi Twig, his name is Pangur-ban for it is I (or I should say my alter ego :)) I am the latest in a long line of Pangurs which started here.

I would be honoured to keep the rat population down all I ask in return is a bowl of milk and maybe sometimes some cream hmmmmm.

Joy!

Guess what I ordered today??

It is....the druidcraft tarot deck!!
I have been using the rider-waite for six years now, waiting till I would find 'the' deck, and after I stumbled on the Druidcraft torat on this site, I knew that was the one :D It uses a lot of symolics from the celtic mythology, I see especially a lot of Welsh lore in the pictures, and that appeals a lot more to me than the classical-esoteric inspired rider-waite. I understand these pictures much better, as they invoke stories that I know, and figures everyone 'knows' somewhere. Like the old witch in the death card, or the pregnant and bountiful lady on the empress card. And the star, she seems to be dancing... And still in balance!

So I am very happy...let's drink something on it!! Does the bar do cocktails as well? The best one I ever had was on holidays in france and contained cider, mead and a few drops of blackcurrant syryp. It was called 'le bienvenue', if I recall it well. Seems appropiate for the occasion, containing mead and all that

Waaaah!!! The BBC is not fooled by my co.uk email addy and will not let me view the penguins. <sniff> Is it the Monty Python sketch which proves that penguins are in fact cleverer than BBC programmers? :-)

I so wish I had something entertaining to share... I don't know very much these days, and I'm not much good at rowdiness, but you do so cheer me up. I'm around, dear Twig, just quiet and introspective. Hopefully that will change as the days grow longer.

Yeouch!!!! Leg cramp!! I've got to get my 'puter on a proper desk and off the floor...

Meanwhile... WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!

Yes, they are, those chocolate biscuits they make are great. I always wondered how they got the chocolate in Antarctica, but now that I've seen them travelling to South America that explains it. :)

Sure, they just drop into Willy Wonka's Chocolat Factory there in Peru on their way down. I hear they make a mean cup of coffee, too... Say, I think we'd better get a coffee maker for the Rowdies.

Pangurban -- I can't wait for your namesake to show up! What a great poem. I think he has promise! A bowl of cream is not any trouble at all for such a fine feline.

Ainevar -- Oh, for sure. We can always use a stand-in for the stand-in. Maybe you should work tonight. Might cheer you up!
