Can't use all of the smilies !!!!!

Seems to work fine here using a random sample. This may be an issue localized to your computer. What browser and version do you use?

I use I.E. 7.0 and I have noticed the same problems.... the wink didn't show up earlier..

Ahhh, just one more reason to hate IE7 then (assuming you both are using it). That browser freqently breaks the most simple of things.

Tell me, does it make a difference which board style you use - ProSilver or SubSilver 2? You can change it in your User Control Panel under Board Preferences to test this.

Thanks Selene. ...then I can only assume it's down to some local, system level variable - could be anything from a security level thing to 3rd party software interfering.

I have the same problem -- can only use the visible ones. Before the board was updated, I could use all of the other ones.

I have had this problem with Safari 3 and some extensions to it (PithHelmet+Saft+SafariStand). I never figured what was causing it, but it went away with updates to the extensions.

I would check your preference in Explorer or perhaps create a new user and see if it works with the default IE prefs (can you do this in Windoze?).

In ny case it is a local problem and not a board problem.

Try waiting for the entire page of smilies to load before clicking on one that doesn't show on message box pane. That usually works for me.

Same for me, waiting for the whole page to load didn't do the trick.
However it works on firefox! I love firefox! (free, open source, cute... what more could you want? lol )

One other thought.

Be sure you are using ProSilver for your board style. Other styles may have some problems. This is especially true for Internet Explorer which has so much proprietary screwies and does not follow the rules, so that special routines must be written for it to work.

I strongly suggest you Windows people explore other browsers. There are about 100 for the Mac, so I suspect there are more for Windows. Firefox is tops, I would also suggest looking at Opera which has some advantages. I predict (Tarot card confirmed) that IE will suffer more and more as developers get tired of coding specially for its eccentricities.

I use 6 different Browsers routinely, each for special features.

Not the whole window, just Internet Explorer.
Download Firefox for free, it works on it and a lot of sites are built to work better on Firefox these days anyway.
There are a lot of little applications you can add to it too so it make it really useful.
(sorry this is slightly out of subject but smilies do work fine on Firefox)

Simplest would be do do as several have suggested — Use Firefox. It is a much better browser than IE 6 or 7. It is open and not tied to Microsoft's proprietary systems.
