For my brave brother

Postby Willow_Whisper » 19 Mar 2009, 12:17

I wish to place this in loving memory of my brother who has recently passed over to the summer lands - 18th January 2009.

He was 34 years old, having battled a brain tumour for 4 years. No one deserves the pain and upset he went through, yet he took every day as it came and lived life to the full. He was a well-respected policeman in Hampshire, an accomplished diver and skier. His life consisted in helping people and saving their lives as a police medic.

In the last days of his life, he went to Rowans Hospice in Portsmouth who is a charity who look after terminally ill patients. It was the best place for him. He died with dignity and in my arms.

There will never be anyone like him again.

Swim with the fishes little brother.
I miss you and love you.
Until we see each other again.

Peace and Awen.
Herne protect you always.

For your brother :candle:
And for you

Willow_Whisper, I am so sad for you. Your words about your brother reveal the love you shared, something not all siblings do. Both of you have been blessed by that and I know you must have been a source of great comfort to him.

In doing your part to console him, you have also participated in helping and saving - not physical life, but the spirit of life, without which life means little.

May that spirit be yours in even greater measure.

We did share a special bond. I felt his pain for real, felt the paralization on my own face. When he died, i started to feel empty and that is how I am now. Just a hole that has not healed.

One day that void will heal I am sure, but at the moment it is too early and too painful. This is another reason I think the trees called, to help me heal.

I know my brother will be with me in some form. When he took his last breaths, I called to the spirits to help his journey so that his next life would come swifty.

I thank you for your thoughts.

Peace and Awen to all.
Willow.

I light a candle in honour of my baby brother
My heart still crys out for him and it can not mend
I listen to the wind to catch his voice, but all is quite and lonely
I miss you so much my dear brother. I miss your smile, your energy and your strength
In time maybe we can meet again in the Summerlands, but until then wait for me I beg of you
I will never stop crying, the hurt is too much.

Herne protect you Renato, and swim free.
