My darling Rocky left me at 11.25pm on 15th July.

Rocky was an amazing guinea pig. He had been ill for so long. His bravery humbled me and his tenacity overwhelmed me over and over again. When I found him on Wednesday morning I knew he had seen his last sunrise. He so loved the sun. I sat with him for fourteen hours while he drifted further and further into dreamtime.

Darling Rocky, together again with Dr Atkins and Scarby, surrounded with flowers and butterflies, under the stars. You leave so many tearful friends here: your guinea family Riff Raff, Toony, Cosmo, Nigel and Lily, and me, your Mummy, who missed you from the moment you left me, and friends all over the world who knew you and knew about your struggle with illness.

There are no words to tell you how great a gap you leave, and nothing that will dry my tears. I love you always, beautiful Rocket. xxx
