Good Afternoon to All -

I have been reading through some of the other introductions and am awed by the diversity demonstrated on this board alone. COOL! :) I just received my second packet and received the instruction to this board. A bit about myself,

I live in the Pacific Northwest, in Seattle, Washington. Usually its a balmy 70 to 80 degrees but we are in the middle of a heat wave and are breaking records. Today is simply the beginning. If you see my typing melting towards the bottom of the page, or there are inexplicable spelling errors - my appologies. I am going to blame it on the heat. I have been an initated BDO Bard since 2000/ 2001. I have regularly participated at local Gorsedds, and was chosen this year to hold the office of Goddess Guardian. I am a composer, performer, musician and founded a band shortly after my initiation. Its called the Bards of the Koad. You can check out our music at http://www.bardsofthekoaf.com. I also have a solo album out and am working on my second. You can hear snippets of that on my myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/reohadbeginnings .

I swear I'm not an egomaniac providing all these web addresses. But to get to know me, you should know my music. :)

I have worked with and studied herbs but have so much more to learn. I have also delved into shamanism in my path and regularly use North American Native shamanistic techniques that I have been taught or picked up through the years. I work with tarot, runes, douwsing (SP?? - arg - the heat), and pendulums but have not worked much with the Ogham runes so am excited to learn about those. Our local Gorsedd, THe Bards of Caer Pugetia has a magazine called "The Sound". I am an editor for that - so seeking out interesting articles, making sure I am providing current meaningful content and transcribing (thanks to my wonderful fantastic patient talented husband) original music to be placed in the Eisteddfod section of the magazine.

I keep busy definately but am looking forward to taking more 'me' time to focus on this course, and focus on another aspect of my own spiritiality and growth. So - HELLO ALL!

Walk in Beauty -
Paula

Hello everybody,
my name is Thomas and I am coming from Germany, but now live in Sweden. First of all sorry for my English, but I am learning now Swedish very intensively so sometimes I mix up languages.
I joined the bardic course at the end of 2006 but just for myself because I walked my path alone most all of the time.
But now I have the feeling to ask for the admission to the ovate course quite soon and that it is time for me to join the community.
About me: I am 34 years old, father of two kids and married. We call ourselves a pagan family, but my wife follows her own way. Like most of all other members I walked different paths to finally come here and one of the most important ways for me beside the druidry is shamanism. My nickname above is given to me in a shamanic ritual. In the last few years I concentrate myself to self-development in nature and wilderness and as a result I now try to establish myself giving courses in the Swedish wilderness.
I now am stopping. If you are interested in more, feel free to contact me, ask via board or visit my homepage. I will post it in the marketplace, because it’s somehow commercial.
In the end I am searching for contacts in Sweden and Norway!
Blessings to all of you.
Tom

Hi all, I'm new here. :hiya: I just turned 26 years old recently and I'm from Nevada. Here's some background info on my spiritual path so far. When I was younger I was a Wiccan for a few years (and I must say I still love a lot of things about Wicca, but I always felt I was missing something), so a few years later now I find myself more drawn to Catholicism. I am hoping to blend Druidism with Christian beliefs in a complementary way. And I'm hoping this board will help me to find my path. :)

Thanks for reading about my journey.

I know what you mean, I am an exile German as well and would not want to change it for the world.. although my better half would love to move to Germany, once he is fluent in German. Sweden must be great. At one point you have to tell me how you ended up in Sweden. :)

After plenty of holidays in Sweden it had always been a feeling of coming home instead of entering a foreign land.So we made the descision...
But in a deeper sense it deals with an outer sign for inner changes....
