Thank you all of you for your warmly received welcomes, and thank you Michael for your lovely email, I've got the warm fuzzies now :)

Thank you for your thoughts and congratulations Kat Lady.

Thanks Dryadia, it feels good to be back. Thank you for your kind words about my music, I have a new piece that I hope to put into the Eisteddfod as soon as I get the hosting sorted out.

With Peace and many Blessings,

Just me again...

Postby Merlin_Sylver » 02 Oct 2009, 14:17

Technically not a new member... but I've been gone so long that I reckon I need to introduce myself again.

I am 35 and I live in the Northwestern Arkansas region... where it is not easy to be a pagan, beleive that! This introduction wont be as verbose as my first introduction (your welcome), but I will take the time to say that I truly love discussing my wild topics on this forum. Thanks, all... and see you around.

Hello all :curtsey:

well I originally signed up here last year and then left awhile (busy getting my online crystal store up and going and heading out to festivals) I have now caught my breath, finished through the introductory package and am looking forward to delving into the Bardic course, as well as planting a grove at the bottom of the property, we are entering an exciting season!

Well...I am English, 40 (from Cumbria) but now living in the blue grass state of Kentucky in the US with my wonderful husband and children - I believe trying to read through all these wonderful posts on the forum is in itself a journey..should be finished by the time i'm 80'ish :old:

Be Well....

Peacelilly
And when you crush an apple with your teeth, say to it in your heart:
'Your seeds shall live in my body,
And the buds of your tomorrow
shall blossom in my heart,
And your fragrance shall be my breath,
And together we shall rejoice through all the seasons.

Hello My name is Phill but my user name is Broom, I live in Hastings East Sussex and I am a very young 49 years old.
I am new to Druidry but what I have looked at already I knew already apart from the mythical stuff, having lived under the stars it taught me a lot about nature and making of fire properly, I think a lot of it is basic common sense, I remember 2 hippies attempting to light a fire with 2 logs and a bit of straw, They were not amused when I laughed, but were happy when I showed them how to get a fire going :warm:
I sometimes turn up at the Long Man of Wilmington for the open public rituals of which are great and I always feel re-energised after a good ritual.
I hope I will enjoy my journey and learn loads.
Peace & blessings.

Time to introduce myself too. I am Spider Lily (Damhán alla Líle). My secular name is Danyka MacTalla. I live in the Pacific Northwest in the USA, and I am a new member of OBOD, having received my first pack of the Bardic course and finished the 2nd Gwers...and awaiting my next pack with a great deal of excitement!

I have been a Pagan most of my life, starting in my early 20's and I am 50 years old now. I left my path for about 7 years and have returned to it in this last year, though rather than returning to Eclectic Paganism, I have put both feet in the path of Druidry.

I really like how the OBOD accepts a diversity of religions. Religiously I am a member of the ADF, and Druidy is now my daily life-path. One of my daughters, however, is Christian and she may eventually join OBOD as well.

Well met, and Bright Blessings to all of you! /|\

Hi everyone. my name is claire and im 33years old. I live in chelmsford, in essex and am happily married with 2 children and one that is due in 4 weeks time. My eldest son is 9years old and is autistic and my soon to be middle child is 3 years old and a right little madam. I am an ex catholic who left that faith to become a druid, 2 years ago and i am in the process of doing to bardic course atm. my husband also is a druid and has been for 2 years also, and we became druids at the same time. i separated from my ex husband 2 and half to 3 years ago and the break up has been awful, with me leaving the marital home due to mental domestic violence. the last few years have been awful with me loosing my family as they dont agree with divorce (being catholics). i lost my faith, but then found druidry and it felt like the pieces of a puzzle fitting together. now i feel like even though things have been awful, i have my new husband, friends, children and a faith that has got me through so much and given me strength and purpose. i am so looking forward to seeing where this path is taking me. :)
