Hello,

My name is Jacqui and I live in Hanslope, Buckinghamshire. I have been interested in Druidry for some time now reading various articles regarding the subject and am very interested in reading a bit more about the OBOD course. I have searched through all of the message boards and found some enlightening advice (although posted in 2005 I assume it's all still relevant).

I am 31 years old and have always believed in 'something else' and cannot get on with organised religions and their doctrines, although I have nothing against those who follow them. I have a deep love of nature and grow most of my own vegetables, keep chickens and bees and lacewings and ladybirds.

I have applied for the introductory package and hope that druidry turns out to be exactly what i've been looking for, I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi all

My name is Amanda and I am am new to the path of druidry. I am hoping to learn a lot by being a member of this group. I am keen to start the course material in the next couple of months and am pleased to see I am not the only new person here who is interested in the study.

I hope it is ok by all that I can ask a million questions and maybe, just maybe, offer the odd answer.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Blessings

Hello everybody,

My name is Alex, 45 years old and i'm living in Antwerp, Belgium.

I've been following the shamanic path since 7 years, but the last year lots of things were revealed and
lots of things changed. The climax of this changes happened about a month ago in Glastonbury.
There it became very clear to me that shamanism is actually a part of druidism and that druidism
is my true path.

So here i am, just enrolled in the Bardic course.

I truly hope t get to know you guys, and who knows, maybe to meet some of you.

Blessings

Alex

Postby Celtic.Chris » 14 Oct 2009, 20:51

Greetings. I'm Chris, twenty one from Texas. I've done some freelance studying of the pagan path of Drudry, Bards and Ovates for quite some time now. It's only been recently, however, that I've been immersing myself in a community type setting in regards to pagan studies. My main interest has heavily invested in the term draíocht and all that it can mean.

I must admit the reason I joined this forum in particular was because I found a few posts in regards to the AVALON school which informed me that it wasn't quite the success I had been hoping for when I heard of it. After that I poked around the site a bit more thoroughly than I had before (I visited a few times) and found out how one could register with OBOD. The good news there is, if I'm careful, I should be able to sign up for that within a few weeks. I hope to get that settled before the solstice, at least.

For now, however, I'm happy to drift about the forum and see what there is to be seen.
May the old ways of the old Gods live on.

Hello,
My name is Tina, I am 46 years of age and live in Düsseldorf/Germany (and I already registered in the German message board).

I am just starting to gather information about duidry, though I have done so in one way or in the other in last years.
I think there is a reason why I really found my way here at this time of my life - and I am looking forward to a new and good way...

I wish everyone the best

Tina

I'm not that new a member, but I haven't been active for quite a while before I came back a couple of weeks ago.

My names Linda, I'll be 24 years old on Samhuinn. I live in Norway, in the house I've grown up in, with my partner and our three cats, Eris, Diana and Lillith. My 79year old grandmother also lives in the house with us, but in the appartment downstairs.

I've been a hobbypagan for seven or eight years now, and about a year ago a friend of mine introduced me to OBOD and it wasn't long until I had the Bard's Introductory package in my hands. Because of my financial situation I've taken a very long time to enroll for the Bardic Course, but a couple of weeks ago I got my first packet of gwersi and so far I'm very intrigued and happy with the work and my progress. I'm really looking forward to continuing my work and getting to know my own Druidic path.

Thank you all for letting me be a part of this community.

Hey y'all!

I'm Roger, I'm 24 years old, and I live in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee! I come to the Druid path from a varied religous background. (I was raised in the Church of Christ, converted to, spent my teens and early twenties in, and was a licensed minister for a Pentecostal church, joined the Catholic church two years ago, and now just this month have signed up in OBOD's Bardic Grade!) I couldn't be happier about being here! Hopefully, I'll get to know some you pretty well--every one seems really nice here!

Love Light and Peace!
Roger
