Hi Everyone,
I’m new to the forum, and to OBOD, so I figured I’d share some pictures of my pottery. All of my pottery is thrown on a manual kick-wheel (no electricity), and I try to keep my designs organic, rustic, and allow the natural world around me influence my work.
There is a pottery technique called centering, and I am able to not only center the clay on the wheel, but center myself while creating. I get a great deal of satisfaction throwing or teaching pottery, and I love to influence others to develop a lasting relationship with clay.

Your pottery is 300% better then mine was when i took a pottery class. I bet you could make some interesting relics for your circles (like a cauldron or chalice). If you can center yourself during the creation then perhaps the creations themselves become infused or attuned to the world around which they were created in.

still looming offshore, it is offshore near the Tortugas last i heard. 20-30 miles west of KW

Your pottery is wonderful. I really got a kick out of the bottom left one. I was looking at it thinking its a tea pot and the expression made me think of it saying "yah I got something real hot insinde me....you want some of it" anyway keep sharing your work please
