modron in the order?

Postby scopulus » 26 Jun 2010, 15:58

Hello all,

Recently I was reading the book : a druid rennaissance with forword from philip carr-gomm.
There was an article there that really touched me somehow. A woman named christine worthington (not sure for first name) told her story about how she became chosen for modron.
Now I wonder: what is this modron? What role does this has in our order?
If any of you could enlighten me, I would love to be guided to some information.

I also red the article about the new pendragon from philip, but couldn't find an explanation about the modron there?

Warmest regards from the starry stones!

In Druidcast No. 10, there's an interview with her - the story, how she became Modron, and perhaps You will find an explanation. I think, althoug recently I heard that druidcast I unfortunately can't remember, I think You profit from that. Hopefully, that is.

i am getting caught up on the druidcast too and they did do an interview with her, but i dont remember it describing her role too in depth. Philip has hinted at describing the role the leaders play in the order in the near future in another post. I recommend you subscribe to the podcast as well, it has a lot of interesting interviews and a nice history of the order. The fact that Dahm has a sexy radio voice is a plus also :-)
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears, Looms but the Horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

Awesome! I've downloaded all of the podcasts, so I hope to get caught up on some of the stuff I've been missing.
