I think I found out how I can tap in to my spiritual strength, but of coarse I have forgot how I did it 3 times. (this time and hopefully I will not forget.).

:sunshine: Today I learned that I can find great happiness in the simplest of things: a ride on a warm summer day, spending time with my soul-mate, and the smell of antique yellow roses outside my window. :)
"The Way itself is a strengthening of spirit, a growing closer to the balance that governs the world. Progress is slow along the Way, but every step of the journey is like a note in the oldest tune of all. When you have the tune complete, you complete yourself." from Moonheart by Charles De Lint

Today I learned not to despise a plant one day that may very well be medicinal to me the next.

Today I learned that "failing" is really an opportunity to learn. :???:

As I submit incorrect/incomplete assignments that will be given the grade of -0-, I do so knowing that I have learned many things in the process.
1.I really, really, really don't want to be a programmer. (Honestly, *WHY* is this class in this program??)
2.I must not forget that magnesium malate DOES help with dealing with the "brain fog" effects of fibromyalgia.
3.The world is not going to end because I did not get a perfect grade (okay, I am 44 years old, my dad has been dead for nearly 10 years. He is NOT going to come back and berate and belittle me for not getting an A.)
for now,
Rebecca

Today I learnt how liberating it can be to just take a moment from daily life and drive to the nearest place void of all this modern clutter (in my case a nature reserve inside the city). I spent about 2 hours just walking through the bushveld and thickets enjoying the sunshine and natures beauty. It was amazing to feel the energy of the earth and the spirits of nature, the air was almost electric!

Needless to say this has been an amazing experience for me

Blessings

Sadly, I learned that my occasional anger issues have their roots in the behavior of my mother, whom I have thus far considered an epitome of tolerance and patience.
Aren't I too old to resent my parents? :???:

I learned that I had suppressed memories from a sad period of my life to the extent that I didn't even recognize a road I used to take daily for a whole year... I had forgotten that I had forgotten, so to speak... Now the door is slowly opening again and I can look back at that year in peace.
The sounds of the winds in the elms
like the strings of a harp being played,
the note of the blackbird that claps
with the wings of delight in the glade.

I learned that, no matter how bad it seems, you could always win the lottery and be saved from the street (personal experiance)
“Owls are wise. They are careful and patient. Wisdom precludes boldness. That is why owls make poor heroes.”

“It was the same scolding any child receives. Stay out of the neighbor’s garden. Don’t tease the Bentons’ shepp. Don’t play tag among the thousand spinning knives of your people’s sacred tree.”

“We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That’s as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.”

“It’s the questions we can’t answer that teach us the most.”

“Metal rusts, music lasts forever.”

“We all become what we pretend to be.”

“You do not know the first note of the music that moves me.”

I learned that my many silent "no"s get in the way of my growth. I change them to "yes"s and everything seems different, lighter, doable, and fresh.

I learned today that sometimes I insist on learning the seemingly most simple lessons of life in the most difficult of ways!

I learned today that in giving you really do receive (and I'm not talking about material things)
It is not a new lesson, but I got the occasion to put it in practice today.

Today I learned (again) that when I am thoughtful and kind in asking or delegating, my children are very willing to help me. Therefore, I have no reason to get overtired and angry with having to do 'everything'!

Some species of slime mold has 13 genders! :o

Their version of Wicca might look like this...

"Hail the Lord & Lady... & Lampy, Limpy, Lumpy, Loony, Loquacious, Lock-in, Locked-out, Loner, Loser, Levetator and Luxurious."

Tarot learned that, no matter the deck, no matter how many times Tarot shuffles, Tarot always draws the Ace of Swords from the Tarot Deck, and Tarot begins to speak in third person

“It’s the questions we can’t answer that teach us the most.”

“Metal rusts, music lasts forever.”

“We all become what we pretend to be.”

“You do not know the first note of the music that moves me.”
