Folk Festivals

I'm at Bromyard Folk Fest, sitting in my campervan, looking out at the rain and wondering if any of my fellow OBODies are here.

Do any of you go to folk fests?
still finding my way around...

i'm gearing up to. always liked that american song that goes

'. . . i don't give a damn about a green-back dollar,
spend it fast as i can,
'cos a good guitar and a song to sing
are the only things that i understand. . .
'

last year for the first time i went to a pagan folk festival, and there're lots of folk festivals round the countryside, here in sth oz. i'm thinking of getting my hand back in. i like traditional folk best, and that's coming back into favour after a few decades of being in the background while the new folk forms were being developed.

Only managed the Bromsgrove folk festival this year, but have been to Swanage, Ely and one in Derbyshire that I've forgotten the name of at the moment in other years. We sometimes go to the Red Lion folk club in Birmingham and occasionally Moira in Derbyshire, its just been a very busy year this year for us but hoping to do more next.
