I've used a mooncup for the last 6 years. Despite a few leak problems at night during a spell of heavy periods I wouldn't go back to using any thing else. I often use some of the blood collected to feed to plants in my garden when diluted with some water, and also occasionally paint with it. There is some great menstrual blood art out there.

Hihih no one knows what a mooncup is within my girlfriends/family :) but here are more women who use it, how cool is that!!
I use it now for more then 2 years, and I never have leak problems. It's a great step for mankind, and a small one for myself. It's easy to use, very good for the inner enviroment (normally I had so much itchyness, and now nothing :D) and very ecological!
Far better it is to dare mighty things,
to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure,
than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much
because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.....

He does not like me I find it unpleasant, little toilet, and harmful.

Hello, all, another happy mooncup user here :hiya:
Just wanted to say hi, and dust the topic a bit, perhaps there are other women (like me) who didn't know about this, or that it has a topic of its own here on DHP.

I've been using mooncup for only two months now, and am very happy with it. After several minor problems, I'm happy to report that the plastic pads are a matter of history.
Along with the cup, I have bought several reusable pads, as I find them more comfortable than the cup during the last two or three days when the flow gets so light I hardly notice it.

My biggest "fear" was the fussiness of it all -- although I'm not squeamish about blood, I like to keep things as simple as possible, and thought using cup and reusable pads would be too much "work". Well, I've got that misconception straightened out :D As I often read on mooncup testimonials, I do wish somebody had told me about it earlier!

I've been umming and arring about whether or not to try Mooncup.
Thanks for all the honest opinions, the link to the blog was great, and has definitely helped me decide to invest in one!

I've been using the DivaCup (the US version) for about four years and forgot early on how anyone could even think of tampons as a convenient option. I also highly recommend this Canadian website: http://lunapads.com/

I have fun educating lovers about it and can get quite evangelical :o They look at me and go "how come I'd never even heard of it?" Periods hardly stop me from doing anything these days

A mooncup is a cup (shaped like a wineglass but without the base) made from inert rubbery silicone that is inserted into the vagina to catch your menstrual blood. It can be reused for years and is completely safe, unlike tampons which are really nasty for you (they leave fibres in the vagina wall, are a common cause of toxic shock syndrome, fill up landfill sites while they decompose for hundreds of years, and contaminate the sea). Mooncups (and other similar devices) are cheap, green, discreet, comfortable for most women and the coolest menstrual accessory. Get one!

Four months into using it and I am as thrilled as the first day, if not more :cloud9:
I love the cup, and am telling all the women I know about it... they are a bit shocked at first, but get interested when they see my enthusiasm :-)

Oh okay, I was looking for something different to use once I got my moontime back. I was on the Depo Preovera shoot after I had my son back in 2008 and I just recently stopped getting it so I try again.
