Confused willow tree

Postby Heddwen » 11 Nov 2010, 13:29

I have a willow that I planted during a ritual five and a half years ago. Its in a pot and stands against a north facing wall. The pots a bit cracked in places, so perhaps the roots are a little exposed. At the moment the old leaves have mostly blown away but strangely (well to me, anyway) there are buds and new leaves there. No catkins yet. This is the first time that this has happened.

Your thoughts on this are most welcome. :where:

Heddwen,

I have seen trees do this before. A spring blooming tree flowering again in autumn. I think the cooling weather confuses trees sometimes since the cool weather sometimes mimics spring. I have not seen it kill a tree though.
