Blessings of Beltane across Australia!

Seems here the weather has been swaying between Winter and Summer, but once again will Summer return. I'm looking forward to the growth of the many seedlings popping their shoots up in my garden. I'm also looking forward to devoting more time to art, drawing in particular.

May everyone be well and enjoy the warmth that is to come.

PineRaven.

May well we say Blessed Beltiane,

But are we going to happy come the middle of Summer?

I hope we don't see a repeat of the Bushfires down here in Victoria.

I'm off to bless my airconditioner so it can be my constant companion of the next 3 months! :o

I've been lurking on the boards, mostly because I've had so much going on.

I'm from WA but I'm moving to NSW at the beginning of next year. I'd love to meet people in the Hunter region, if there is any? It is so good to see fellow Australians on the boards.

Hi Red Tingle :hiya:

There used to be someone who lived up in the Hunter region but i'm not sure if they are still there. When you get settles you can always contact the OBOD office and see if they know of anyone up that way :D

Hi Red Tingle, sorry to hear you are moving away. We had three WA OBODies in here for a very short space of time. :P

Hi Ra3vyn. I know, I already said it but am still excited. :)

Lady A, the Serpentstar is great! Love the idea of a southern calendar for next year.

Oops, wanted to pop in and say hello but got to go again now, I have to serve up dinner! :)

Hugs,

So, what are all the Aussies going to do for upcoming Alban Hefin?

i'm going to melbourne to the melbourne grove's solstice ceremony on about the 19th, then back home just in time for our usual two druid midsummer night at wyeuro. we watched a midsummernight's dream together one year, and that contributes to our theme - fauns and fairies and the impudent pucks are celebrated along with the more serious aspects of the wheel of the year.
what are others doing?

I'm thinking i might go to the beach or one of the national parks and have a picnic which will include stone fruit :D (mangoes and cherries being some of my favourites) hopefully will get to enjoy some sunshine too and maybe a small ritual to greet the next phase of the year.

Wyeuro i like your idea of including the fairies and would like to do something to include them too as i have been seeing them more and more when i meditate and go to my grove. Would you have any suggestions?

they'll be there, and they'll know already that you like them, so just include a little gift-giving or libation in their ritual - something small and biodegradable as a token such as a flower or feather or leaf or stone will alert them to your deeper interest and they can use any of your human energy that you've imbued it with. breathe on it, whisper good wishes for harmony between our races - you'll think of stuff, and they can use the energy of a crystal charged or uncharged, and some of them love it if you give them a tiny portion of your food and drink and share with them. if you want to get really twee :-) you can cut special tiny sandwiches for them or dip tiny pieces of bread in honey. they like laughter and music too, and can hear the highest notes of a flute better than low sounds. then find time to sink gently into a meditation of appreciation of nature and they'll help you to their wavelengths. don't be scared of baddies, if you welcome them all, the goodies keep the baddies good. :)

Wyeuro
Thanks for a beautiful post. I am very pleased to hear they like music. I'm learning a bunch of new tunes and anyone within earshot is getting an earful! I practise by the open window and the sounds are not always pretty...

well, keep it up. i think the sounds promote the fairy experience because they raise our vibration and the quick rhythms unite us in the dance just briefly, and that's why we see each other and hear each other best when there's flute music or similar.
