Gosh! That is hard. I might say what I don't like is a shorter list --- Fusion Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, most PoP music. I hate Duran Duran, The Thompson Twins, and most of the Alternative crap of the 80s. (Adam Ant, Loverboy, George Michael and Wham!, Madona, etc.) And Disco. I don't like disco, but darn if that beat isn't infectious.

I was raised on the Kingston Trio, Glenn Yarbourough, The Limeliters, The Smothers Brothers, etc. My parents were more of the Beatnik generation, but still young enough that we listened to alot of Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, John Denver, etc. I knew all the words to all the songs in Hair by the time I was in 1st grade. My dad was a folk/blue grass musician who also played a mean Spanish style classic guitar. By mean, I mean that literally! He whapped me upside the head with a Guild 12-String in 1974. Yeowch!
My iPod on shuffle is very confused...
My music collection consists of:

Deep Purple --- I had ALL their albums, even ones released only in Europe. I also had every incarnation...Blackmore's Rainbow, Rainbow, Ritchie Blackmore & Rainbow. I will admit it here, only if you promise not to tell, that my #1 idol of my teen years was Ritchie Blackmore. When Blackmore's Night was here locally, I was horrified to find out AFTER the fact.
