Pranic Healing and Druidry

Postby Caristiona » 07 Feb 2011, 14:52

Hi,

I have a big question mark in my mind here. Is it possible to be a pranic healer and a druid at the same time?

Hi there Caristiona, I would think that many healing modes are compatable with Druidry. Did you have anything specific in mind, or were you referring to pranic healing as a generic term ? :)

Heddwen, I mean the Pranic Healing method, created by Gran Master Choa Khok Sui.

I think it has no problems as it seems they match but I want to make sure as I receive and study - done the beginners course going to advanced.

druids have left us with the general impression that they were benevolent scholarly moral philosophers and natural historians. it seems unlikely that they would have closed their minds to any honest study or practice that might be for the good of all beings. they were cosmopolitan people, interested in 'things brent new frae 'yant the sea', and would almost certainly have welcomed new, effective healing techniques into their traditions as appropriate. we can't verify these impressions, but it is significant that those are the ones they've left us with.

nowadays, obod druids are revelling in the exploration of the healing techniques and worldviews and metaphysical descriptions of 'a person' of other traditions world-wide, as well as cosmological, religious and theological propositions from many different traditions and systems. so follow the gleam as it glimmers for you, and feel blessed.

dont see why not pranic donotes to prana which means energy and my understating of it is it takes energy from 1 to another to bring about healing i have used a combination of it and reikii for a while now with effective results usually removing obsticles in sick creatures and ocastionally humans i find animals are more aprecitive and receptive to healing lol

If I may add a few words, as a new member of the order, but long time student of druidry and healing...

To my understanding and believe, druidry is a spirituality and way of life, it's not etched instone and limited but free like the wind. It's about finding your place in this world and connecting to it. So my point is, any form of healing or healthy way of life would be embraced by a druid...to my understanding. I by no means am speaking for everyone, but my thoughts on the subject is you can still be a druid and be yourself, druidry should enhance you not make you feel like it takes something away...

consider it like a garden in your yard...to discover druidry is to discover the woods beyond, but this does not mean your yard and garden are gone or wrong compared to the wilds of the woods, but you realize things can be much deeper and you can find new appreication there in...

Greetings Caristiona, :hiya:

I have enjoyed Choa Kok Sui's work, and have found it to be more complete and effective than some other methods I have tried. The color Healing and diet/nutrition/health of the healer, etc. are a few important and valuable concepts that I didn't find in some others.

I adapt the "wording" in some areas to fit my Druid path. It has been a powerful addition to Alchemical Hypnotherapy. My first book was given to me many years ago, as a gift from a dear friend/mentor/Seer, (who has since passed on). He had researched many methods of "energy healing," and found this to be the best for our Feraferian work/path. I agree.

Blessings on your continued healing work,
Brigit

I have been a pranic healer since 1983 and a student of MCKS. I have been a member of OBOD for the last 6 years. I have found difficulty in mixing pranic healing and druidry.
