Very nice, Lailoken. I have veiwed the Milky Way many times from dark skies from peaks on the Blue Ridge Parkway, one over 6000 feet. It is awesome. The naked eye shows more than you think but a good wide field set of binoculars gives a really impressive views. A friend of mine and I took telescopes ranging from 6 to 15 inches in aperture for some really nice deep-sky viewing.
