Surgery tomorrow

Postby Susanne » 17 May 2011, 00:03

Hi all
Just a quick request to please keep my daughter in your thoughts tomorrow. She is is having a pretty major surgical procedure in the morning & is very nervous.
It's funny, since I'm an OR nurse I have very mixed feelings about this. I know just how safe it all is but I also have seen what can go wrong..... Ah well, here's to good thoughts & a wonderful outcome! :D
Thanks for any good thoughts & energy sent her way!

I will send her some Reiki and warm thoughts. I will also send some to you. The person in the waiting room often needs some care as well!

Take care of yourself and all the best to your daughter.

Thanks so very much for the kind thoughts & prayers! :D
We got home from the hospital after a very long day....up at 0300, on the road @ 0400, arrived at the hospital @ 0600, after all of the pre-op getting ready my daughter went to the OR at 0730, I was paged to go in to sit with her at 1130, we left the hospital at 1330 & got home at 1530ish..... Yowsa!
She's doing OK, though. Very sore & a bit groggy still but hanging in there. Hopefully she'll get the drains out tomorrow (that's what's bugging her the most) & each day will be better than the last.
Again, thanks to everyone, it means a lot!

Thanks Adam
The first night was a bit rough. The worst part was that she up & fainted on me. That was a bit of an adventure :wow: . At least I got her sitting down before she went totally out....
But things are looking up. She had the drains out which makes a huge difference in how she feels. A day or two more of laying low & she ought to be getting back into life again.
It's hard to see your kids hurting.
Thanks again for the continued thoughts :D
