I had links to war and violence, masculine aggression,in two places. An odd text from a church aquaintance, that had been sent to me by mistake, asking after my father's health. It is the anniversary of his death tomorrow, we discovered the mistake,in that the text had been meant to go to someone with the same name as me. Anyway that has opened up an unexpected communication from a community I had decided to walk away from just a couple of months ago.
Then I have had dreams of a water blessing ceremony, I have not attended any ceremonies such as this, but it was very vivid, so I googled water blessing ceremonies and immediately discovered the council of thirteen grandmothers. The thirteen month calendar being significant, pieces of a puzzle coming together and obviously I am looking at a Celtic tradition that seems to cross link through more than one source, as is being revealed by such events. Just odd.
Indigeneous female representatives proclaiming a message of peace and nurture for earth to enable the preservation of this planet for future generations. Women, the moon and the menstrual cycle.
So i have learnt i may need to keep a diary of strange coincidences and events. I'll do that I think.

Today I have learned of the other 2 meet ups for OBODs here in Germany this year. With any luck I will be able to attend them. It'd be great to bring 2 people with me: 1 my son, and 2 a lover but if things stay as they are it might be me heading out on my own but getting to meet up with people who won't just ignore me the whole time.

Water ceremonies. Well, there is the Bardic level course. Also, in Unitarian Universalism there is a Water Ceremony in many congregations around the same time of the year that school starts. People bring together their water from the holidays and pool it together in front of each other. Its not the same all the time but its the same all the time.

I learned that change can, will happen without my involvement, that doors and directions may change, sometimes spiraling....yet these experiences are not always as painful as I perceive and prepare for...
I was reminded that some things are constants that I have taken for granted. Others are more missed opportunities...that perhaps I assumed always would be there and also took for granted- or were guided away from...sometimes I don't really know.

I sat in a hospital chapel today. The whys and wherefores irrelevant. A still quiet place. Peace embodied, spirits all around. Candles burning. A universal place with art, art depicting Christ, healing people, art depicting surgeons healing people, art depicting doctors of the mind healing people.
Plants today, in the chapel and a paper model of the Green Man and books about the Green Man with art in those books depicting the Green Man. Ecclesiastical, Hindu . Neo Pagan, Judaism, all life depicted in art. Stillness all around and the printed word everywhere.

I learned that my youngest feline friend (His name is Aki, he's the one who followed me home from a trek to pay respects to the dead at the local cemetary) Prefers my girlfriend over me, but me over anyone except my girlfriend....

That's not true Tarot because I try to read all new posts here and always read yours.
I have learnt today that I have peace in my heart. Upon waking around 5 am ish I had a browse on the net and two things struck me. I first visited a "religious site", out of force of habit, it will cease shortly. There the messge loud and clear was that as I am not doing "The will Of God" God thinks I stink." That's a bit aggressive I thought for a God of love, more like as I am not doing the will of men, they want me to think that God thinks I stink".
So I go to facebook to cheer myself up and a lovely gentle friend has put on her status "what a lovely day of peace to wake up to" So who is speaking for God?

But I am unruffled and have been communing with nature. Love and nature, that's all you need.

I learned being outside actually makes it more helpful when grounding and bringing myself into my artistic focus.

Edit: I also learned about having the feeling of a very empty space when someone dear passes away. :gloomy:

I learned after an hour and a half of listening to retro Amiga 500 game soundtracks, that the happiest times in my childhood where spent in an alternate state of reality. Looking back on it, it seems sad that I had to immerse myself in other realities to be happy, but then again, I was trying to escape oppressive parenting and a Christian boarding school reality. Such is life.

I learned that it's (apparently) alright for my girlfriend to have sex with random guys while dating me, but not alright for me to have any contact with any of the female gender. or male. or transvestite.

Nothing you can say will change who I am, nothing you can do will change my choice, you can keep your holy wars, I'll stand here defending something worth fighting for....

Today I learned that once we let go of long-held objections we actually open up the door and allow true growth to occur. Too often we hold onto grievances or past happenings, sometimes not even knowing why. Once we challenge this learned behaviour, accept that it is harmful to our self, we allow ourselves opportunities. Opportunities to love, to learn or to merely observe behaviour we have deprived ourselves for so long. Today, I learned...

I learned today that acknowledging and embracing your weaknesses allows you to grow as a person.

I'm also learning why the Arthurian legends have always fascinated me. The way Arthur learned from Merlyn I learn from the Gwersi.
Different does not mean right or wrong. It simply means different.

Today I learned how to walk through a sunfilled field just before twilight with a wolf companion. In tune with each other, a power animal/protector/friend, paw to heel, silence, except for the birdsong, no lead,no restraint, just understanding and love.
