Re: Questions about OBOD's course

Thank you Selene and Susanne for your responses to my questions. I had a bit of a brain fart and I should have stated the first question differently. Although it is to late for that now. I have made up my mind and will be ordering the course when finances allow. Hoping it will be in the next couple of weeks  if not within the next few months. My guides are telling me now but, if they want it to happen they are going to have to manifest the finances lol

hi im new hear ive decided im going to do the course though firstly id like to say it shouldnt be called a course i think it should be called a key because its like its opening a doorway to the path were trying to follow atleast thats the feeling i get and keys are more timeless and more symbolical to druids atleast thats been my experience also i was wondering what the prices are for the other grades i dont see why they cant be advertised even if there is some secrets about them blessings

I don't think there's any secrecy intended...everyone starts with the Bardic course, so those prices are listed on the web site. As I recall, the costs for all three courses are comparable; the materials themselves are fairly standard in cost to produce, but postal rates increase frequently. It takes a minimum of a year, and often more, to complete a course, at which time the student is sent the form for ordering the next grade with the current prices.

I think if that were the case, OBOD would have a lot fewer Druids than it does!

The tutor is optional up until the point when you want to move on to Ovate... which is why it is advised that you request one beforehand.

Bwncth,

If you email office@druidry.org they will be able to tell you whether or not there is a grove up in Sweden. I hope you can stand so much English.

Well I'm not at all impatient for my materials to arrive.....

What kind of rituals are involved in the course? Are they more along the lines of blessings or are there wiccan type rituals (spells, so to speak) involved?

I look forward to anything related to healing. I work in medicine and I am a reiki master, so any form of healing is of interest to me!!

If we told you, we'd have to kill you, as they say in James Bond movies...
So to all your questions, yes and no.... just enjoy the ride....

Seriously.
There is a reason the material is not public, and there's a reason it comes in monthly packages.
It's nothing "occult" - not like there's knowledge there that only OBOD possesses - it is to make your journey your own.

There are four magical virtues: Noscere, Audere, Velle, Tacere. To know, to dare, to will, to keep silent... not to diminish your or someone else's deep experiences through talk. another reason.

If we decide to pursue further with the course after having received the intro package, is the intro pack deducted from the cost of the course? If not then it's kind of a rip-off to pay for both.

Thanks!
