Spirit Flutes

Postby Magdalene » 29 Jun 2011, 10:03

I have just receIved my new Spirit Flute (a Native American style flute) handmade here in the UK, made from a beautiful piece of rippled cherry wood, with a customised hand carved owl block. It's tuned to F sharp. I am now embarking on learning to play (along with my secondhand harp) and wonder if anyone plays and has any information on good sites, tutor books etc.? I have always been drawn to the hauntingly beautiful sound of this type of flute and am managing to get a fairly decent sound now after screeching at first!!! Any help & advice would really be appreciated......
