Hmmm it depends what you mean by stave?
A stave can also be a description of a rune - which would take you in another direction entirely! :wink:
Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)

I'm not sure of your question.

I use my staff (about 4 feet in length, 'found' Ash) partly as a walking staff; but more "magickally" as a marker when I cast peace circles.
Personally, I don't do "magickal" workings; I tend to lean towards the "I'm sure it will all work out" approach than the "oh, I guess I should have been more specific in my request; oops, my bad" kinda thing.
"Don't look to the end of the rainbow for the pot of gold; it's already under your feet"
Enjoy this life. It would be a shame if we looked forward to the next, only to find we forgot the one before.
