I'm reading The Faerie Way by Hugh Mynne. It's fabulous! It's full of stories, experiences and ways to connect for inspiration, knowledge and healing. It's out of print, but the PDF can be downloaded here: http://preterhuman.net/texts/religion.o ... %20Way.pdf

At the moment - ' The Depression Cure' by Dr S. Ilardi. - a no drug way to way to escape the bombers and get out of the bunker.

Just finished - 'The Bicycle Diaries' by David Byrne . A bit of a disappointment to be honest. Although the last chapter on New York was super.

I am reading Gregg Braden's Fractal Time. it has been part of a journey over the last year on a study of time and healing..... there are great you tube presentations by Gregg that are well worth watching and following through if you can't get hold of the book.

I'm reading 'Crow Planet: Essential Wisdom from the Urban Wilderness' by Lyanda Lynn Haupt. I am thoroughly enjoying it so far, and would recommend it. :)

I'm reading 'Warcraft Archive' by associated authors, to give me a background in Warcraft lore. This will help me roleplay better when playing World of Warcraft.

Yes, I know. :D But it's fun!

Am reading Becoming Animal by David Abram, am finding it interesting even though the author likes to use a lot of words to make his point

Bahaha! That's awesome and shows great dedication to the game! I'll have to keep that title in mind for my partner and step-daughter who are WoW nuts (personally, I like a good old-fashioned pen and paper D&D session :old: )

I'm currently reading The Life of Pi by Yann Martel - beautiful, gentle book - recommend it. And have just finished reading Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell which is a glorious, epic, astonishingly creative novel. Now planning to devour everything he's ever written!

Just completed An Ogham Wood by Cliff Seruntine. On one level a faery fantasy novel set in modern times. On another level a rarity - soul and geas in the faery faith. My review is here http://dmiley.livejournal.com/78189.html and on the Amazon website. Spoke to the author and he tells me I got it right :-)

' The Urban Biking Handbook' by Charles Haine

A book about riding your bike in big American city . How to choose a bike , maintain it , and repair it , tips for riding around , and awl that
kinda thing. Nice. Lots of lovely bike pics. Does seem a bit overdone on having a fixed wheel , or 'fixie' bike. But otherwise , tops , and i neither
live in America , nor a big city.

I just started Shelby Foote's The Civil War: A Narrative. At three volumes and around 3,000 pages, I am pretty sure I will be working at it for awhile.

On the fiction front, I just finished Cormac McCarthy's The Crossing and a Louis L'Amour western, and I am waiting for the weather to get just right for me to re-read Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes. There's something intense about reading that book during a NW Illinois crisp October--exactly the time and place that the book evokes so hauntingly.

After that, I'll be tackling Faulkner's Light in August, which will be my third Faulkner this year, if I manage to get it in before the end of December. I do have foote to deal with, after all...

Greetings,
I am reading "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" by Sogyal Rinpoche. I have to read it slowly as it is quite thought provoking, but I highly recommend it.
"The Way itself is a strengthening of spirit, a growing closer to the balance that governs the world. Progress is slow along the Way, but every step of the journey is like a note in the oldest tune of all. When you have the tune complete, you complete yourself." from Moonheart by Charles De Lint
