With all the Ogham books making a surge onto the field over the last few years I thought this might not be enough.
But after having a few people look at it I found out that it approaches the Oghams in a slightly different light.
This is designed to offer a simple yet elegant way to read the Oghams without having to either memorize a huge book or page oafter page of clues and descriptions.
I do not use the Forfeda because it is mentioned in the Book of Ballymote that these letters were never designed for divination but rather for pronouncing newer words.
Therefore the Ogham is simply 20 letters that correspond to your finger and toes .
Toss the Oghams (I use three) and then write down everything about the Oghams on a small piece of paper.
This is an easy read and I hope you both enjoy it and that it helps you look at the Oghams in a new light.
Here is the chant from my working,
...it pretty much sums up one way to look at the information the Oghams provide.
Three sticks are drawn into the light
drawn one at a time with your second sight
One for the Past that’s not quite gone
still in the shadows yet lingering on
One for the Here and Now between
part of the past only partly not seen
One for the thing that longs to be
partially hidden from all that we see
Three sticks are drawn into the light
returned to the darkness and hidden from sight
