Symbols of the Three Realms
Forum rules
This forum is dedicated to the quest of our common humanity, especially in the exploration of the underlying commonalities of the human condition, the similarities between faith systems and philosophies, and the Druidic search for all that unifies rather than divides. The title made me think of the three symbols I've seen in Aikido dojos: circle, triangle, square.

What would the correspondences be? (Mine are: sea, sky, earth -- but I might be wrong.)
And where does the triangle point to -- up or down?

Oh, sorry, just my passing thought on the parallel. I think you'd have to pick your own correspondences. In Aikido, the triangle is conflict, the circle is harmony, and the square is resolution (that's really succinctly put, and I'm assuredly murdering the philosophy behind it). I do believe the triangle points wherever it wants, unless something gets in its way.
