meditation cushion

Postby Silverleaf_Willow » 25 Jan 2012, 19:41

Inspired by the elements, the gwers that I am currently working on, and Badger Bob's "February Seminar - Meditation, A guide to the very basics" which can be found at
viewtopic.php?f=326&t=35195
The shell is crochet over an old (uselessly lumpy as a bed pillow) cushion. The height is perfect for me to sit cross-legged or sit in a kneeling position. Next project: a flat cushion for under my head during "laying down" meditations.

Lovely! I wonder if I could crochet something like that? I expect not, but it might be fun to try... :)

Lovely and such a Zen Druid concept - recycling a meditation cushion :D

I really must learn how to crochet!

Lovely and so much more affordable than the ones for sale.

Willowhawk/Badger Bob, the basic crochet stitch used here is dead easy... in fact I taught it to a GUY once, seriously, he was willing .... :)

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was one of those projects that once I get the idea, it builds creative energy until I reach the point of "I HAVE TO make this, NOW!"
I was very pleased with the result. Not all of my "NOW" projects end with good results
