...I started this in 2007 and have only just finished it.
        I'd like to add some more verses sometime.


The Memory of the Bard

Oh where, oh where can those words be?
Mnemosyne’s deserted me!
Where are these words I cannot find?
Have they completely left my mind?

Or are they hiding… lost from view…
waiting 'till I find something new
to say, and then that forms a link,
and back they come in just a blink.

Do other Bards have these troubles,
'though their cauldron boils and bubbles.
They all just sit there, looking glum.
Not one drop lands upon their thumb.

I guess I'll have to let it brew,
then it may conjure something new.
I’ll try new words and see what flows.
What rhymes with ‘Poetry’..?    Who knows!
