Pines

Postby Eclipsing Black » 06 Feb 2012, 11:16

Beneath any pine
Treasures to find
I know that you've tried it too
No?
Should one feel inclined
To explore the pine
There's always a small threshold
The tiniest passage
Through which you can crawl
On hand, foot, and face
There's not much to do
You can lay down and stew
It's really best at night
The shelter of the pine
You have nothing to fear
Beneath it's needley branches
You'll come out smelling of green
Grass, dirt, cone
Stuck to your clothes
Some insects too!
But at least you can say
At the end of the day
I've just hugged a pine

I've seemed to develop a habit of crawling under pines when I'm on night walks. No matter how close to the ground the branches get there's always a way in without stabbing yourself to death, but only if you look long enough. It's relaxing to chill out there for a while - try it sometime (best in the winter months - to avoid bugs ;)).
