Just you...

There I was,

Lost,
Twisting spirals danced through my waking consciousness.
Timeless dreams into which I was endlessly wandering.
I could see no meaning to this life, this path between the worlds,
This winding track through the silvering, swirling, seathing mists.

Confused,
Contented I found myself to be, wandering along the twisting ways,
No direction or purpose to guide my wayward feet,
A meandering brook of a man stumbling down the hillside.
Ever running faster towards the crashing, cooling, calling seas.

Alone,
Atop a hill with the cold wind curling into my face once more,
The miles of endless trackway beneath my boot soles.
And yet with no direction to follow to return to a warming hearth.
Standing in the solitude of the beautiful, wonderful, enviable glens

But now,

Found,
It seems to have taken an eternity to open my eyes and see.
So many sights already seen, many ways I have wandered,
But for too long have I tarried in the shadows of my past,
But now I see before me all I wanted, needed, pleaded for.

Purpose,
It Finally presents itself and yes, albeit in an unlikely guise.
For now I have a focus a way to turn my wayward feet,
A way to channel those raw forces of my dreams and desires.
Forged hard, into actions changing, captivating, coming soon.

Together,
And there you are, filling all my thoughts as never before,
Running through my brain and dancing with my very soul,
Giving my feet a true direction and warming my heart.
Together forever in my heart. Beautiful, wonderful, loveable…you

Just you, always you...
x
Which was first, is it darkness, is it light?
