The sound effects make this hilarious lol. I'm just glad that druids don't frown upon modern medicine.

*It's awful that at the end he sounds like he's going to cry.

It was difficult to watch this video of this poor man being physically abused and caught in the web of superstition. I hope that somehow he finds the healing of soul or body that he seeks.
"I am in the midst of my true life, I am most deeply myself. At times I feel as if I am spread out over the landscape and inside things, and am myself living in every tree, in the splashing of the waves, in the clouds, and the animals that come and go, in the procession the seasons..." Pretty difficult to watch.
Abuse in any and all its guises is unacceptable. If the object was to get some form of emotional release well then it worked, I wonder how common it is in his society....one part of me was hoping that he would get up and say, right, now my turn!

Do we know anything about what is being done, applied or the culture/s involved?

For my Western eyes, yes, it is difficult to watch. But then, so are many other things done in other cultures from my own.

And...do we know, truly, that the Druids did not handle some health problems in this same way?

Just stuff to think about, or not.

Reminds me of visits to the dentist.
