Well Mike, I couldn't download my own pics so I branched out and found the other option of Gallery. The Triscelle is the same as I bought as a silver pendant in Brittany which I wear all the time , the neon green is a bit OTT but what the hell! Well done to whoever concocted the gallery selection, something there for everyone I think!

That would be the originator of the Message Board. |-) His board name is Kernos. :D Swell Guy!

Hi,
i'm Seán I'm 26 and am based in the Irish-speaking West of Ireland.
I was always drawn to Celtic studies and spirituality. Druidism seems like the perfect synthesis.
I hadn't even heard of OBOD until last month, when I came across a YouTube video of Philip Carr-Gomm being interviewed on coast2coast AM.
I would have signed up sooner!

I'm a musician and work as a graphic designer for a TV production studio in Galway.
I also enjoy Art, Philosophy, Psychology, Science, history, literature, health & fitness.
Glad to see so many people with similar interests. :)

Hi my name is Bala on here, but my given name is Jo and I live near Lancaster in the UK. I have been for many years a pagan. I am drawn to celtic traditions and for some time I've have felt adrift spiritually. This was till a few months ago when I decided this is the moment when I take a step, gather some courage and begin my soul searching. It feels right, and my intent solidified after a week in Glastonbury taking time to think. I am beginning the bardic course and am so pleased to have found this path. I am a nurse and I love poetry, reading masses of books ( ex librarian too), gardening, literature, also psychology and art/creative crafts.

Hello, I've technically been registered for months, but I don't think I've posted anything before (I don't have a great memory!)
I'm Donna, I'm 30, and I'm from Hastings, on England's South coast. I started the bardic course two or three years ago, and attended the Summer gathering at Glastonbury, but then I fell off the track as I got swamped in family life and other studies. I'd really like to get going properly now, and I think I need other human contact, even if it's only virtual, to help me stay motivated!
I look forward to hanging out here!

Good Evening,

My name is Paul, and I live in sunny Florida with my beautiful wife. I just joined the order and received my first Bardic bundle a few days ago. After working through the first two Gwersi I am enthralled with the material. I feel as though I have been walking in the grove for most of my life, but I can feel that in joining the order I have truly found my community. Right now I am making preparations for my initiation ceremony. As it stands I am thinking of utilizing my back yard for this task as it is secluded and surrounded by native Oak, Pine, Willow and of course the occasional Palm. There is space for a fire and view is open to the rising sun. I am still waiting to be added to the Bardic portion of the forums and I look forward to conversation with all. Any suggestions concerning my first ritual would be much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Paul Rodgers

Hello Seán!
I am so jealous you speak Irish! I've always wanted to learn! My family is from Ireland (Tyrone area) and I've tried to pick up a bit here and there but as I'm in America it's not exactly an in demand language!

I have a few books but without a proper teacher it's kinda hard...such as pronunciation!

What instruments/genre of music do you play?

Hi all,

I'm checkin' in from the Netherlands, Cat's the name, 33 (the horror :D ), following the wandering roads of the pagan paths that are unfolding in this day and age, in a way since I was little and realised that I saw a different world than most, and more actively ever since 'bout 2000 the internet opened up a whole new way for me to connect with people all over the world. I've started my journey by recognising elements of my view of the world in modern witchcraft, but always remained a solitary practioner. I've been introduced to shamanic ways and even been fortunate enough to learn how to (safely) lead eclectic sweatlodges. But as more and more people just start "playing Indian" this somehow doesn't feel good anymore, so out of respect for the native ways I've stopped conducting and attending sweatlodges. If I need to think in the warmth and quit, I'll go to the local spa now, and that works as well, als most of the work is inward. When a friend, whom I more consider a sister of my soul, asked me to perform her handfasting in Glastonbury a few years back, I would have never though that my visit to Tor and White Well would be awakening something so deeply ingrained in me. I've only been in the UK twice, once in London, and that time in Glastonbury, but both times it feels like home from the minute I set my foot on the ground. There's something calling me, singing to me, and I've put off listening to it for too long.

So, for some time I've been lurking around here, doubting wether I'll really start in this new direction. I've ordered the course (introduction) and are really looking forward to reviewing what I've learned on my path so far and putting it in a structure that gives freedom, but still asks for commitment.

Just a quick overview of the rest of my life: animallover, cats, rabbits, chickens, horses, own a lawfirm, collector of swords and knives, motorcycle-racer, love to cook and garden (I'm getting into permaculture more and more), walking, running, swimming...

Want to know more, just ask!
Cheers,
Cat
