A Moment In Time

A moment in time, a moonlit lake so fine, tree tops reflect and glisten, i turn to the water and sit and listen.

Dark is the pool, in the night, gold reflection cast on light.
Rippling lapping, blowing in the breeze, ever changing the mirror of the trees.

The colours, move, twist and merge, all does flow in the lake serge.
Moonlit dapples, dance and glimmer, flickering, swirling in the shimmer.
The heady sweet smell of pine, on the dark night air, laughter of water, tickling the rocks so bare.

Fire dances up through the trees, it crunches and crackles, and echoes to me, the orange flames reach up to the sky, as the distant voices melt on by.

A moment in time, a stitch saves nine, caught in the snare of the lovers despair. A moment in time, does decline, and so the lovers pine, for that moment in time.

Been wracking my brains about your work, and I think much of it should be sung. From this poem especially I reckon you're a songwriter. If you play an instrument give it a go maybe, or find a friendly singer-strummer to try it out?
