I am Linda, I am 52 years old and I now live in Troon in Scotland. I am Irish - Drogheda/Dundalk/Ravensdale area (though you wouldn't guess it from my Lancashire sounding accent) - just bought Teach Yourself Irish - so here goes.. Though educated in Scotland I have lived near Salisbury, Falkland Islands and North Wales. Awaiting my first part of the OBOD course which will arrive just after I get back from Thurso where I will be assisting on an Astronomy and Space talk. So really excited about both. Though from an Engineering background I have changed my life dramatically in the last few years and now run an imagery and the spoken word business - mainly based on the seashore. I love travelling (when I have the funds) and meeting people.

Not sure what else I should rabbit on about. Yes I enjoy talking too (and twitter). LOL

On the way back from a really brilliant time in Thurso I was getting tired but didn't want to hand over the wheel to my hubby. He is a lovely man but his driving style has altered from the sixties - very laid back - very scary in todays fast pace driving. So I was worried about that and the cost of washing all the salt and grime off - hand washing a wee bit difficult where I am living now. Well all was answered with two severe snow and hail storms. Eyes glued to the road (too scared to drop off to sleep) and car gleaming!

I've just received the first 8 gwers of my bardic grade.........I am variously excited ,terrified ,in awe,which at my age is pretty amazing!! I hope to get to know you as the course progresses,but for now that's enough .

I live a very rural area of Nova Scotia Canada, I've been with my husband for 14 yrs and and we have a little boy who just turned one

And I just heard him crying...off I go...
