I have a staff, im not sure what the wood is, i think its oak. When i was a Boyscout i went to summer camp in flagstaff, az. the camp was selling walking sticks and ever time i went i kept looking at the same one, but i didnt want to buy it because i needed enough money for the whole week, needless to say i saved enough for it. fast forward several years and me and the stick have been hiking and camping together, i would cut notches into it for ever mike i hiked, and i would use one end for when i made a fire. when i started to practice energy work, and was taught that you could store energy in an object, which could later be pulled out, or the item enchanted. i began to use the staff for a "fire poker" allowing the energy of the flame to enter the staff, i would take my knife and scrape off the outer layer, giving the staff a rough, grooved surface. sometimes i would seal both ends with wax for elemental candles, hoping to hold the energy inside of it, then hold it over the flame of each candle to burn it into the grooves.
now i had always felt a pull to the druidic path, but i never knew much about it. that was until the day i met my friend, he is an extremely spiritual man, as is his wife, the first time he saw me he knew my path, he had seen all of the knowledge i had learned, he would ask me questions, hoping to catch me off guard, and when i didnt have an answer I could feel the God and Goddess saying the answer for me. one day i came over with my staff, hoping to get his opinion of it, when he saw it he couldnt belief his eyes, saying that i was a Magicians staff, and that only a Druid could possess the Magic and talent needed to create one, from the moment he has done everything he could to get me in contact with druids of the community, training me and feeling in the gaps of my knowledge, training me to use my gifts.
now i know that went alittle sideways, but i felt i needed some background to explain everything.
