Prior to administering anything, homeopathic or conventional to anyone's diet, pets especially, we feel that personal health history must be considered, and a medical professional should be consulted. There are many instances where even the most "harmless" additive has had contraindications and caused more harm than good. We believe everyone here is responsible and understands that, but it is important to re-state. This is a public forum, viewable by guests as well as members, and is cataloged by most search engines.

protection and openness

Postby momo » 31 Jan 2013, 21:21

hello
At the moment I realize, I can hardly stand peolpe or situations which are untrue or not honest.
First, I want to run away, If I can't, it gets worse.
How can I protect myself and still be open?
Thanks for your help

Be as honest as you can, in as polite a way as you can be. If the situation is unescapable, try your hardest to stick to your own beliefs, standing up for them as needed. Be friendly about it, and you're less likely to receive any hostility in return.
If you feel threatened in social situations, sometimes shielding yourself by imagining yourself in a bubble of white light, drawn up from the ground and widened around you(hope I explained that well enough) can help. Imagine other people's negativity bouncing off of the bubble.
Hope this helps...

Hi momo,
Aphritha is right. Polite, from polis or city, the rules we have when squashed unacceptably close to people we have differences with. The thing to remember is that they are not you, a "bubble" helps with this. Be proud that you are ethical and have proper discrimination, it's something to celebrate! It's one of the main qualities that first attracted me to my wife, actually. :)

Yes, I usually find that reflecting on my own perfection works! :innocent:  I’m enough of a hypocrite that I still get annoyed by others’ dishonesty but at least this helps me to put it into perspective.

sometimes the only way to improve a situation in which there is conflict is to stand your ground and say what needs to be said... do your bit to reduce the dishonesty....
