I was going to read this at our Imbolc Eisteddfod but didn't make it there, so thought I'd share it here. Hope you like.
ALBION, THE BLUE I TAKE WITH ME
Albion
your face is the white of cornish sand,
your coastline skin whispers of the mystery
the ancients came to know through the curved-light of stone.
The blue of your purity cannot fit into words
yet
when I watch the glittering sea fold itself
over the green of your lands
you call to me;
you speak of the body I have lost,
the wholeness I have gained.
And so I have come to know you,
the you that gleams through the seam of my skin,
that burns through my eyes as I breathe, until
nothing in me breathes.
This is what I am;
utterly lost
but somehow found.
Albion.

I've faved your blog by the way - look forward to sitting down with a nice cup of tea and reading it.
