Hello, Bonjour, Buenos dias,

My name is Sankari, I live in Lyon, France. I have always felt a strong connection with Celtic lands and the druidic figures of the Arthurian legends but, although they were beautiful stories feeding my soul, my spiritual practice for 30 years was deeply rooted in Hinduism and Indian spiritual teachers (Sankari is the name given to me by one of them). And then 4-5 years ago, druidism and wicca knocked my door again with such a strength that I went to Ireland, Scotland, England, Brittany each year. After reading a lot on internet and books, I finally found P.Carr-Gomm's teachings meeting my expectations and I started the Bardic grade in June 2012. One month later I went to Wiltshire's crop circles, Avebury, Glastonbury and Stonehenge. My spiritual life has moved from India to Europe, from East to West. I enjoy each step of this new journey and can't wait to see what is ahead!

Hi i'm 51, i live in Wiltshire, a bit more than a stones throw away from Avebury, I have been reading the Tarot since I was 15. It seams that I have always been on this path but didn't know it, the signs were there by I didn't see. New friends that have come into my life through sitting in circle have also included my dear wiccan friends, this started to awaken my inner self and things started to come together, why I love walking endless hours over the countryside rather than walking on a treadmill. My strong conection with animals, at one point 12 dogs, 6 horses, 2 cats. my love of working both on stage and backstage, why i've collect books on herbs and natural healing for animals (and humans) for years, why I love archaeology, I was even an assistant at our local Young Archaeology Club when my daughter was a member and was luckly enough to be able to hold a fragment of pot from the Beaker People which still had an imprint of a thumb on it. One of the strangest thing I did, which was very out of character for me, was while I was at Avebury with my friend after attending the Winter Solstice we sort out the roaring fire in the shop to thaw out when Terry the Archdruid came in seeking like us the warmth of the fire, when a suddenly I asked Terry if I could hold his hand! from that day on things became clearer, I was drawn more deeply than ever towards the Green Man, even friends brought me gifts with the Green Man on it, Oracle Cards followed and books all from friends who were unaware what the other had brought. My table at the Psychic Fayres too changed and now has the Green Man on it, and why I planted 3 acorns and now have 3 Oak saplings growning in pots. So now like the Fool with my little dog beside me, will gladly walk the path that has for so long becken, and I hope that some of you will join me and walk with me on my journey.

Hi, everyone! I'm 26 and live in east Tennessee, a little east of Knoxville in a rural community. I've pretty much lived here my entire life, other than a little stint at the University of Tennessee and a brief time in Atlanta, GA.

I came to Druidry recently so I'm just starting out in the Bardic grade. My religious history mainly consists of Independent Southern Baptist Christianity which I started to turn away from at 18. I tried some other forms of Christianity and then just ultimately gave up on it as a religion all together. I still agree with a lot of the principles, but I would not classify myself as a Christian anymore. It just doesn't feel right. Afterward, I went into some "new age" stuff. I did a little work in divination, channeling, and energy work. My teacher at the time was a local man and he had a very anti-religion, anti-structure outlook on spirituality. I think the anti-structure part is why I never could seem to get anywhere with my newly-discovered abilities. I began to passively search for a rulebook to go by and eventually found my way to Druidry while reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander. There was a scene in the book, in which a group of witches performed a ceremony at some standing stones; it got me thinking, "I wonder if people still practice that." Boom! I found OBOD.

So far, Druidry has really aligned with my beliefs. I really enjoy everything I've learned so far. My only wish is that I could find a Seed Group nearby. The closest that I know of is in Nashville, which is a loooong drive. I know of ONE other druid that lives nearby and she is the reason I chose to begin my path with OBOD instead of any other organization. She said it would fit me better, and, so far, she's been right. I may just start a group once I get a little farther in and know more.

As far as my handle goes, "Maighdlin" is not my Druid name. It's a handle I've used for years and years. Who knows? Maybe it'll land up being that, but I think too many people have trouble pronouncing it. :-P Feel free to just refer to me as Mags. That's what all my buddies in MMOs did when I used to play.

Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope to get to know many of you over the next few years. Let me know if I post things in the wrong place and such while I get use to the boards.
