For all the people who've lost their lives in Madrid this morning, let us offer prayers for their peace and journey to the otherworld. For all those left behind in grief, let us send thoughts of comfort to them, that they may know that people around the world are standing with them in their grief.
For those who died in Madrid and for all the victims of terrorism around the world,
Comfort and friendship in a time of need.
Solidarity in opposing terrorism
Heartfelt wishes for the ease of their pain and loss.
Healing for those who are injured.
Peace to the ones who pass to their new lives.
[Thank you to all who posted their candles below. Can we focus together on this tonight, say at 11pm British time or whenever you can join, and all concentrate our prayers for those poor people? If you join with me, I begin by making a circle, lighting candles for those who died, for those who grieve, for those who are injured, and to call for justice.
I will use these words, feel free to adopt the same or use your own,
In times of trouble, we call to peace
In pain and loss, we call to healing
In grief we call to comfort.
By our intentions, these things are sent to the victims of terrorism, their families, and lands torn in trouble.
By our will we oppose terrorism and its cruel acts.
By our wish, we pray for peace in the world, in each life and in the days to come.
Tonight we remember especially the people of Madrid, their loss, shock and suffering and we remember all of those affected by deeds of terrorism in all lands throughout the world.
We send healing to those injured and to those who mourn; and ask for guidance for those who pass to the otherworld – may comfort, peace and healing await them and may life begin again, anew.
Add your prayer or thoughts ……
May it be.
