Another soul has been taken

Postby Mey » 06 Nov 2004, 09:38

A crow flew by.
The Morighan took another soul of a very very brave warrior.
She gave him the peace and rest he deserves.

Friday (yesterday), at 6 in the morning, my husbands father died after a 1,5 year fight against lungcancer.

May his journey to the otherworld be safe

He died in the hospital but his wish was to die at home but his condition wasn't good enough to take him home (1 hour drive). Friday afternoon and evening I could feel "someone" around us. It frightened me a bit but thinking of it now I know for sure he came home to see the place for the last time before he went to the summerlands. He found his peace.
When he died he got this peacefull look on his face, letting us know that he's okay now.

The rest of our lives is a total chaos at the moment. So much has to be taken care of and on the other hand so much emotions flow through you.
Weird.

a prayer from "Celtic Devotional" by Caitlin Matthews:

SOUL-LEADING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS PASSED

You have been called from the place of your dwelling,
May blessed soul-friends guide you,
May helping spirits lead you,
May the Gatherer of Souls call you,
May the homeward path rise up under your feet
And lead you gladly home.

Sending you comforting energy.

In caring, Aigeann

The funeral was yesterday. We choose a place where 200 people could sit but it wasn't enough. There were so many people.
Our mailbox is way too small for all the cards people send.

And now everything is over
Back to "normal life"

The house is too quiet.

Thank you for all the candles and prayers!
