Them United States

Them United States

The Redwoods Grow On Them
The Eagle Soars Across Them
Them Stars And Stripes
They Show That We Are Free
Them United States

The Peaches Grow In The South
While People Are Busy In The North
And The Ranchers Gathering Cattle In The West
While Each Of Them With Their Own Indvidulaties
Them United States

Every Morning We Stand
To Pledge To The Flag
Then We Sit Down In Silence
And Show The World
That Were More Than A United Nation
We Are The United States Of America

Thanks For Reading Once More

I commend Druidboi for his poem, which was very well done. Although, if I may, share another perspective, for many things have more than one aspect.

Corporations plunder them
While a few race to save them
And others watch Idly
And buy jewelry off QVC
These United States

The rich shall never want
While the poor grow gaunt
And those elected to us lie
While sending children to die
These United States

The flag waves above
And the virtues are clear
Life, Liberty, and Justice
Are those we hold dear
These United States

When did Life become valueless?
Why is Liberty only given to some?
When did Justice apply to just us?
