Aurora...How We Did Dance

Aurora...How We Did Dance

Postby MorningStar » 13 Nov 2004, 07:35

i'm sorry in the past couple of weeks to have fallen down on the reading up here. but with all the turmoil and heart ache i was beginning to believe i would never write again. And my eyes were too swollen and red to clearly read. But Nature gave me the inspiration and meditation gave me the sight and feelings and the three melded into one Awen.

Aurora… How We Did Dance

The night air was cold and bitter,
How it did cut my flesh clear to my bones.
The wind howled her name,
The tree’s branches banged out her beat.

The Night’s Sky became a glow,
And then it began to shimmer in waves.
Pulsating blues, greens and whites,
Dancing in the frigid night air.

Within minutes I found myself dancing too,
The beat entrancing my feet and heart.
The wind moaned in tones that comforted my Spirit,
My Spirit then took flight for the Night’s Sky.

Soaring ever higher and reaching the bands of light,
My feathers cutting through the waves of light.
Drinking in Aurora’s natural beauties and energies,
Dancing with her there… in all her glory.

I could feel her awesome waves blow,
Through every part of my body, right down to my Spirit.
The breezes we danced on blew me ever so high,
Feeling as no other creature could have flown so high before.

Each twist and turn rejuvenating my body and Spirit.
Each summersault the hawk and the human bonding as one.
Every dip and dive feeling more and more a live.
Every flap of my wings I could feel my heart stings start to sing.

We danced in the Glory of the Night…
We danced in the Glory of the Light….
We danced in the Glory of the Blessed One…
We danced in the Glory of Life.

I agree completely with EarthWard and don't know how I missed this one! I have always wanted to see the northern lights and you have given me at least a spiritual glimpse of them. Thank you, MorningStar!
