Walter William Melnyk, known to many in OBOD as OakWyse, has been an OBOD Druid since 2002. He has recently published a third book in his Tales of Avalon Series. Unlike the first two, The Apple and the Thorn and Tales of Avalon, this one is not a novel. Rather, The Wisdom of Avalon is a republication of the Thirteen Marsh Tales (from Tales of Avalon) in a separate volume, together with reflection questions for each Tale and suggestions for using the Tales in Daily Meditations.

Signe Anita Fuchs, Druid member from Vienna has published three e-books on Amazon.de
Das Alte Volk: The adventures of he daughter of an Irish Druid in Ireland, Europe and at the shores oft the black sea about 70 BC.
The land is dimly lit by a pale pre-dawn light, and in the East, low in the lightening sky, shines the brilliant and lovely Morning Star, the light of Venus herself, illuminating the half-darkness. A sudden breeze, harbinger of dawn, stirs the long grasses, stiffened by frost. Fragments of mist hang over the land, partly obscuring it. Among the gorse bushes something is moving; the grasses stir again as a dark form passes among them, disappearing into the deep shade under the knotted gorse shoots then re-appearing in the twilight.
Barren strength of rock
Yields to soft persuasion
Windblown seeds crack, bring forth
From death throes, fragile beauty
Threadlike roots reach, tentative,
Blindly search for nourishment
Slender stem yearns toward light
Knowing its need of warmth
Cracks formed in granite’s face
Herald a wisp of pale green
Leaves unfurl, tiny brave banners
Masterpiece unseen yet perfect
Druidry is a vital and dynamic nature spirituality that is flourishing all over the word as witnessed by both our members' and other druids' blogs. A recent blog by by jason-pitzl-waters at http://www.thedruidsvoice.com/ concerning Religious Freedom, Religious Exemptions, and the Responsibility of the Majority offers a perspective that certainly makes a druid think.
We would like to share one of the most recent blogs by Dean Easton and hope that you enjoy it.
Goddesses are possible again — the word is spreading even to those who aren’t paying attention. The new dream is all about shapes arising where before we thought there was only darkness pooling around our fears and our faces. The old forms aren’t always the ones the goddesses are re-animating. It’s also something new this time, answer to the severity of our need. Need more, and the Goddess answers. How much we need. It’s called her forth.
The stones await in the sun's light of the grassy field
While the wizard is in mortal combat, sword and shield.
The work of the mundane realm reels
A captain holds a firm grip on the ship's wheel.
The folly of fools and greed in dogma's name
Ye Dragons know this all will end in failure and shame.
One day soon the Awen shall sing
The light of a new age, the dragon's tale shall bring.
We are pleased to introduce another piece of literature by one of our members.
