Although some Christian groups oppose Naturism and actively campaign to shut down clothing-optional beaches, other Christians believe that since 'Man was made in God's image', it is offensive to suggest that this image is obscene or should be hidden from view. Some of these Christians have formed their own Naturist groups: Christian Naturists:

PRIVATE NATURISM

If you like meditating, communing with Nature and sunbathing on your own, a comprohensive and funny site well worth visiting is The Secret Naturist Society http://www.secretnaturistsociety.com

NATIONAL NATURIST ORGANISATIONS

These organisations often publish their own magazines, and offer national directories of sites. They are worth joining, not only for their publications, but also because they often lobby for clothes-free beaches, or defend ones that are under threat of closure, and organise events such as naturist evenings at local swimming pools.

An Interesting viewpoint http://www.personal.u-net.com/~tedder/nats/denial.htm "Every year I bump into folk who are enjoying life without clothes. They may be nudists but they are not meeting one when they see me. I am not a nudist, and, similarly, neither am I a motorist, artist, genealogist, archaeologist, or any other sort of -ist. An -ist is one who follows a pattern or scheme. Someone who adopts the conventions of the particular system. A nudist is one who engages a lifestyle involving 'nudeness'. For me to regard myself as a nudist, I would also have to be a breathist, walkist, eatist, blue-eyesist for while a motorist is someone who does driving, being without clothes is not something I do. It is my supposed natural state. So I am not a nudist. I do not do taking clothes off. Putting on clothes is what I do. If anything I am a clothesist."
