JOHN & CAITLíN MATTHEWS are the authors of 60 books. Their successful literary and marital partnership spans twenty years in which time they have extensively explored the realms of British Mythology, Celtic and Arthurian studies and the Goddess as well as the Ancient Wisdom. They are leading figures within British & Celtic shamanic traditions. Between 1989-1992 they served as joint presiders of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.

They are the joint authors of The Western Way, The Encyclopedia of Celtic Wisdom, Ladies of the Lake, The Arthurian Tarot, and The Arthurian Book of Days. Their books have been translated worldwide. Excerpts from many of their books are in the Archive Library

John Matthews' best known and most widely read works are The Grail, Quest for Eternal Life (Thames & Hudson, 1981), Taliesin: Shamanic Mysteries in Britain and Ireland (Aquarian, 1991) and The Celtic Shaman (Element, 1991). His latest books are The Druid Source Book and King Arthur's Britain.

Caitlín Matthews is the author of The Celtic Tradition, Sophia: Goddess of Wisdom, and Singing the Soul Back Home . Her recent titles include The Celtic Book of Days and The Celtic Devotional. She has a busy shamanic and ritual practice in Oxford.
They are respected and initiators in the Celtic and Arthurian tradition, committed to the ancient traditions of their land. They live in Oxford with their son Emrys.

They give workshops and seminars throughout the world on a variety of topics related to the Western tradition.
