Eternal Oak
by
Cerri
I broke
the seal of my shell
Small and green dividing cells
Pushing aside the protective earth
Thrusting upwards to prove my birth
Thrusting down in equal measure
Stretching, reaching sensual pleasure.
Arms outstretched, I touch the sky
No longer a seedling, hard to spy
My roots tap the Mother's soul
She nurtures me and secures my bole
I in turn provide for others
In every shape and many colours.
Come share with me the two worlds I span See through me the expression of the
land Come to me you mortal lovers
Taste loves sweet kisses beneath my covers Where once you played as saplings
green
Now sow your seed, my smile unseen.
The cycles of the Earth I see
In summer in winter, in you and me
I stand before for all time
For you and I perform the eternal mime
The language of Mother Earth and Father Sky Let it touch your soul, let your
spirit fly.
